Superlative Service Inc (“we”, “us”) is a family-owned irrigation, drainage, and landscaping company. We have operated since 1992 and serve residential and commercial properties in the Houston and San Antonio, Texas areas. This policy explains how we handle personal information when you use superlativeservice.com (the “site”) or hire us to do work.

Information we collect

We collect information you give us, information created while we do a job, and limited technical information from visiting the site.

You give us. On the contact page, the request form asks for the details of a free estimate. That form is provided by Jobber. You can also call or email us. Depending on how you reach us, that can include your name, email address, phone number, service address, photos of the property, and a description of the lawn, drainage, or landscape work.

Job records. After a request, we keep the quote, the schedule, visit notes, photos, invoices, and payment status in Jobber. If you pay an invoice online, the payment is processed by Jobber Payments and its payment processor. We do not store your full card number or bank account number on this website. Jobber’s privacy policy identifies Stripe as the processor for Jobber Payments. See Jobber’s privacy policy and Stripe’s privacy policy.

Visiting the site. The site is hosted on Cloudflare. Hosting and security logs can include your IP address, browser type, the page you requested, and the date and time. The site loads typefaces from Google Fonts, so your browser also contacts Google for those font files. Blog and page photos may load from Sanity’s image service.

Jobber

We run the business on Jobber (Octopusapp Inc., doing business as Jobber), a field-service platform. Jobber processes customer information for us as a service provider. That can include your name, contact information, service address, job and visit details, quotes, invoices, and payments, plus the email and text messages Jobber sends about that work.

The only Jobber feature embedded on this site is the estimate request form on the contact page. The form is loaded from Jobber’s client hub. Scheduling, visit reminders, invoices, and online payment are handled in Jobber after we have your request. They are not separate tools embedded on this site. Jobber’s privacy policy is at getjobber.com/privacy-policy.

Calls and text messages

If you give us a phone number, including on the request form, we may call and text that number about your request, quote, appointment, visit, and invoice. Jobber sends those job-related emails and texts for us, including automated reminders about a job you asked us to do.

We do not send marketing texts unless you give separate consent for them. Messages about a request, quote, appointment, visit, or invoice are job-related texts, not marketing texts.

Agreeing to texts is not required to hire us. You can call 281-537-5579 or email info@superlativeservice.com instead.

To stop job-related texts, reply STOP. For help, reply HELP. Message and data rates may apply. Message frequency varies with the work.

Cookies

Cloudflare sets cookies and similar technical data to keep the site secure, to deliver pages, and to measure basic site use. That includes security cookies that help block abuse, and analytics cookies that tell us, in aggregate, which pages are visited. We use that information to operate and protect the site. We do not use it to advertise to you on other websites.

The Jobber request form is loaded from Jobber. Jobber, or the service that hosts the form, may set cookies so the form can load, remember the session, and block automated submissions. We do not control those cookies. Cookie names and lifetimes are set by Cloudflare and Jobber and can change. You can refuse or delete cookies in your browser. The form needs JavaScript. If it is blocked, call or email us.

We do not sell personal information

We do not sell your personal information. We do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. We do not use it to profile you for decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects.

Who we share information with

We share personal information with service providers that host the site or help us run the job. Those providers include Cloudflare, Jobber, and the payment processor Jobber uses. We also share it when the law requires it, and with someone you ask us to speak with about the property, such as a property manager. We do not sell customer lists.

Texas privacy rights

We honor the rights described in the Texas Data Privacy and Security Act for every Texas resident who contacts us, whether or not that law’s size thresholds would otherwise apply to us.

You may ask us to:

Confirm whether we are processing your personal information, and to access it.
Correct personal information that is inaccurate.
Delete personal information, except records we must keep to finish a job, honor a warranty, or meet a tax or legal duty.
Receive a portable copy of the personal information you gave us.
Appeal if we refuse a request.

We respond within 45 days. If we need more time, we will write to you with the reason and may take one further 45 days. We may need to confirm that the request comes from you before we act. We will not treat you differently for making a request.

To appeal a refusal, reply to our decision within 30 days, by phone or email, and say that you want the decision reviewed. We will have someone else at the company review it and we will send you the result. Because we do not sell personal information or use it for targeted advertising, there is no sale or advertising opt-out to turn off.

How long we keep information

We keep personal information for as long as we need it to provide service, honor a warranty, and meet tax and legal duties. In general we keep quotes, job records, invoices, photos, and related messages for up to 7 years after the job. We keep them longer when a warranty, dispute, or legal duty requires it. Hosting and security logs are kept for a shorter time set by our host.

Security

We use reasonable care to protect personal information. No website or email is perfectly secure. Do not send card numbers or bank details by email. Online payments go through Jobber Payments and its processor, not through a form we store on this site.

Children

The site and our services are meant for property owners and the people who manage a property. They are not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe we have, contact us and we will delete it.

Links to other sites

The site links to other sites, including Google, Facebook, Instagram, Yelp, and Jobber. Those sites have their own privacy practices. We are not responsible for them.

Changes

We post any update on this page and change the date above. The version on this page is the current one.
